QUALIFICATION
As current America Champion Argentina qualified already in Summer 2004 winning the final match against Canada 2 : 1. Canada became 10th at the Qualifier and therefore Argentina is the only America-representative.
COACH
Sergio Vigil is men coach of the South Americans since a scarce year. He began the job in June 2005 and followed Jorge Ruiz, who was men coach of many years. As coach of the senior women team called "Las Leonas" Sergio Vigil was very successful. They won the silver medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, were World Champion at the 2002 World Cup in Perth and won bronce medal at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
As an active player he participated at the 1986 and 1990 World Cups.
